Piano Lessons

Special Events

Parent Visitation
You are invited to visit your child’s piano lesson three times per year. Parent visitation allows you to observe the progress your child is making in class, demonstrate to your child your interest in his/her achievements, hear important studio information from your teacher, gain a better understanding of the musical concepts being studied, and ask questions!

Stacy's StudioChristmas Recital
Parents are invited to attend Christmas Recitals held in December during student’s regularly scheduled lesson time. Each student will play a solo and several ensemble pieces. Privately taught students will play a solo and duets with their teacher. Students will receive a Christmas Solo book and ensemble music several weeks prior to the recital. Students are encouraged to memorize their solo.

Solo Festival
The Solo Festival is held once a year on a Saturday in March at Stacy’s Studio. Students who have completed at least one year of piano are eligible to enter the Solo Festival. Students select a piece of sheet music to prepare and memorize several weeks prior to the festival. Each student performs his or her song before a judge and receives an evaluation, certificate and ribbon for participating.

Spring Recital
Our Spring Recitals are held in May. This is a formal, but fun event where students perform one solo piece by memory, several ensembles with their class or duets with their teacher. Students are awarded ribbons, certificates and a t-shirt for completing the year. Fifth year students are awarded a trophy. These 30-45 minute recitals are held in the Studio Performance Room. Family and friends are invited for refreshments following the performance.

Stacy's StudioSummer Programs
Students will have the choice of several fun summer programs. Options include summer private lessons or our One Day Fun Day camps. Summer Private lessons are best if you wish to improve a piano skill, review concepts that were challenging during the previous semester, complete a piano level over the summer or play from “fun” books to keep your piano skills sharp and ready for the next level. Our privately taught students can continue with their regular weekly lessons without missing a beat! We will do our best to accommodate your other summer plans.

Or, if you want to take a break from piano and enjoy our fun, action packed, educational FUN DAYS, you may choose from a variety of days offered throughout the summer. Our summer schedule will be released in March.
